An editor for more than 20 years, Mike’s work has been recognized with two national News and Documentary Emmy nominations and a duPont-Columbia Award. He is currently editing The Long Rescue, a film that follows teen survivors of trafficking in the Philippines. His recent credits include The Well (true crime docuseries set in California), American Son (ESPN 30 For 30 film about tennis legend Michael Chang), Prognosis: Notes On Living (Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2023 Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival), and American Creed (PBS national broadcast). From 2012-2024, Mike taught documentary editing at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism. He also served as senior editor at Citizen Film, an SF-based non-profit that collaborates with community organizations to create films and online media, from 2012-2022. Mike holds degrees in film and public policy from Wesleyan University and UC Berkeley.
