An editor for more than 20 years, Mike’s work has been recognized with two national News and Documentary Emmy nominations and a duPont-Columbia Award. He is currently editing The Well, a true crime docuseries set in California. His recent feature credits include American Son (ESPN 30 For 30 film about tennis legend Michael Chang), Prognosis: Notes On Living (Audience Award for Best Feature at the 2023 Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival), and American Creed (PBS national broadcast). From 2012-2024, Mike taught documentary editing at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism. He also served as senior editor at Citizen Film, an SF-based non-profit that collaborates with community organizations to create films and online media, from 2012-2022. Mike holds degrees in film and public policy from Wesleyan University and UC Berkeley.
