I live in Berkeley, California. As a producer and editor of documentaries, I’ve been nominated for two national Emmy Awards. My editing work also helped win a duPont-Columbia Award, TV’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, for Current TV in 2007, and an Overseas Press Club award in 2012. Besides Current, I have also worked for National Geographic, the Smithsonian Channel, New York Times Television, PBS, and HBO, among others. I hold a bachelor’s degree in film from Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in public policy from UC Berkeley. Currently, I teach editing at UC Berkeley’s graduate school of journalism, and serve as senior editor at Citizen Film, a documentary production company based in San Francisco.
